SPRINGFIELD — One man has been taken to the hospital after he was involved in a crash and shot overnight in Springfield.
Officers responded to a call of a crash on the 500 block of North Light Street around 11:55 p.m. Saturday, according to Springfield Police Dispatch.
When crews arrived at the scene of the crash, they reported one man had a gunshot wound to his foot.
The other vehicle involved in the crash was empty when crews arrived, dispatch said.

The man was taken to Springfield Regional Medical with non-life-threatening injuries.
