North Allegheny school news: Forensics Institute, golf classic

Students at North Allegheny Senior High School are hosting a forensics institute in July 2022 to help students improve performance in public speaking and debate events.

North Allegheny Forensics Institute is a week-long summer camp geared toward North Allegheny students interested in learning about speech and debate.

The most experienced and successful members of the North Allegheny Speech and Debate Team, which is ranked No. 13 in the nation, run the camp.

Campers will be given an opportunity to improve their public speaking, research, and argumentative skills in their choice of event.

The camp will be offered July 25-29 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day at Marshall Middle School.

The NA Foundation Golf Classic will be held Monday, Oct. 10, at 10 a.m. at Shannopin Country Club. Participation supports the NA Foundation’s mission to enhance and enrich the educational experience at North Allegheny.

Registration will be at 10 a.m., with lunch at 11 a.m. Tee off is at noon with a 6 p.m. 19th Hole Celebration Dinner. The golf club is located at 1 Windmere Road.
