A driver was hospitalized after his vehicle overturned in Lakewood early this morning, TLS has learned.

At approximately 2:00 AM, emergency personnel responded to a crash on Lanes Mill Road just south of Alamitos Drive involving one vehicle and one occupant.

The driver, Ismael Quinones Jr. 26, of Beachwood, was driving south on Lanes Mill Road when his vehicle exited the roadway to the right, striking a utility pole, police said.

After striking the pole, the vehicle continued sideways into a wooded area striking several trees and turning on its side.

The driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center with a head laceration, police said.
