The daughter of former Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith is recovering following a 10-hour medical procedure to remove a brain tumor.In an Instagram post made Saturday morning, Smith says his youngest daughter Sloane was rushed to the ER with stroke-like symptoms. An MRI revealed Sloane has a large brain tumor that required emergency surgery.Smith says neurosurgeons at Stanford Children's Health were able to remove 100% of the tumor.Smith adds his daughter's tumor is a very rare malignant tumor with few documented cases.The family is waiting on more tests and opinions but states Sloane is "back to her bubbly self".Smith played for the Chiefs from 2013 to 2017.
