Ex-Boston Red Sox players: How are Andrew Benintendi, Mookie Betts, Kyle Schwarber, Hunter Renfroe, others doing?

Let’s check in on how some former Red Sox players are doing as July nears.

Hunter Renfroe: The right fielder is batting .247 with a .300 on-base percentage, .490 slugging percentage, .790 OPS, 13 homers, nine doubles, 27 RBIs, 27 runs, 15 walks and 54 strikeouts in 54 games for the Brewers.

The right-handed hitter has a .200/.290/.455/.745 line in 15 games during June.

He’s having a strong season defensively with 9 defensive runs saved in right field. That ranks second among qualified MLB right fielders.

Martín Pérez: The lefty likely will make the AL All-Star team. He’s 5-2 with a 1.96 ERA, 2.62 FIP, 1.13 WHIP, 71 strikeouts and 21 walks. He leads the league in ERA+ (197) and homers per nine innings (0.2). He has given up just two homers in 87 ⅓ innings for the Rangers.

Opponents are batting .239 against him.

Andrew Benintendi: The left fielder is batting .299 with a .366 on-base percentage, .391 slugging percentage and .757 OPS. Seventy-nine percent of his hits have been singles. He has three homers, 11 doubles, two triples and 62 singles in 69 games for the Royals. He’s tied with Alex Verdugo for fifth among qualified MLB left fielders with two defensive runs saved.

Mookie Betts: The star right fielder is on the IL with a cracked rib.

Betts was slashing .273/.349/.535/.884 with 17 homers, 13 doubles, 53 runs and 40 RBIs in 60 games for the Dodgers.

He got off to a slow start with a .230/.352/.378/.731 line and five extra-base hits line in 19 games during April. He then was the game’s top player in May, posting a .342/.411/.746/1.157 line with 12 homers and 10 doubles in 28 games. But he slashed only .193/.207/.316/.523 with three extra-base hits in 13 games during June before landing on the IL.

Kyle Schwarber: The left-handed slugger entered Saturday batting .215 with a .340 on-base percentage, .492 slugging percentage, .832 OPS, 20 homers, 11 doubles, 50 runs, 41 RBIs, 47 walks and 89 strikeouts in 70 games for the Phillies.

He’s second in the NL in homers behind only Pete Alonso.

He has a .277/.400/.663/1.063 line with nine homers and five doubles in 22 games in June.

Eduardo Rodriguez: The left-handed starter left the Tigers indefinitely because of “personal reasons.”

He last pitched May 18, spending almost a month on the IL due to a ribcage strain.

He’s 1-3 with a 4.38 ERA, 4.02 FIP, 1.33 WHIP, .233 batting average against, 34 strikeouts and 17 walks in eight starts (39 innings).

Michael Chavis: The infielder is batting .254 with a .300 on-base percentage, .435 slugging percentage, .735 OPS, eight homers, seven doubles, two triples, 22 runs, 25 RBIs, 12 walks and 55 strikeouts in 61 games for the Pirates.

Adam Ottavino: The right-hander has a 2.60 ERA, 2.83 FIP, 1.08 WHIP and .200 BAA in 30 outings (27 ⅔ innings) for the Mets. He’s averaging 11.4 strikeouts and 3.3 walks per nine innings.

David Price: He pitched a scoreless inning for the Dodgers on Saturday, finishing it by striking out Ronald Acuña Jr. swinging on a 95.8 mph sinker. The lefty has a 3.57 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, .282 BAA, 22 strikeouts and four walks in 17 relief outings (17 ⅔ innings).

José Iglesias: The shortstop is batting .299 with a .348 on-base percentage, .369 slugging percentage, .717 OPS, 15 doubles, 20 runs, 18 RBIs, 11 walks and 24 strikeouts in 59 games for the Rockies.

Garrett Richards: The righty has a 3.86 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, .202 BAA and 3.63 FIP in 18 outings (including two starts as an opener) for the Rangers.
