TY: A TURLOCK WOMAN IS SHARING HER FRIGHTENING STORY. SHE SAYS SHE WAS ATTACKED BY A DELIVERY DRIVER IN HER OWN HOME. ANDREA: KCRA 3’S BRITTANY HOPE SPOKE WITH THE WOMAN, WHO SAYS SHE WANTS OTHERS TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, AND TO THINK TWICE BEFORE OPENING YOUR DOOR TO A DELIVERY DRIVER. BRITTANY: MARIA LOPEZ’S HUSBAND STOPPED BY THEIR TURLOCK HOME FRIDAY DURING HIS WORK DAY, AND SAW AN AMAZON DELIVERY DRIVER OUTSIDE THEIR FRONT DOOR. >> HE WAS TRYING TO SELL THE PACKAGE THAT DIDN’T BELONG TO HIM. IT HAD TO BE DELIVERED TO SOMEBODY IN ATWATER. BRITTANY: BUT THEN -- >> IT’S MY HOUSE. AND HE, LIKE, HE JUST WENT IN. BRITTANY: SHE SAYS HE TRIED TO ATTACK HER. >> I GRABBED THE PHONE. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED 911. I WENT TO THE BATHROOM AND LOCKED MYSELF IN, AND MY HUSBAND WAS STRUGGLING WITH HIM. BRITTANY: THAT STRUGGLE, CAUGHT ON CAMERA. HER HUSBAND’S COWORKER SAW THE DELIVERY DRIVER JUMP THE FAMILY’S FENCE AND RUN AROUND THE HOUSE. THAT’S WHEN TURLOCK POLICE SAY HE BROKE A BEDROOM WINDOW TO GET INTO THE HOME AGAIN. MARIA AND HER HUSBAND, THANKFUL THEIR FOUR CHILDREN WERE AT SUMMER SCHOOL DURING THE ATTACK. AND THEY ARE CHOOSING TO SPEAK OUT. >> BECAUSE I HAVE KIDS, AND I DON’T WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO ANYONE. BRITTANY: TURLOCK POLICE SAY 22-YEAR-OLD MODESTO RESIDENT RYAN LEE CRISP IS NOW BOOKED AT THE STANISLAUS COUNTY JAIL ON CHARGES OF ATTEMPTED RAPE, BURGLARY, AND VANDALISM. MARIA SAYS SHE WANTS HIM TO GET HELP. >> I’M A MOM. I FEEL THE PAIN. AND I THINK HE NEEDS MENTAL HELP. THAT’S WHAT I -- I KNOW HE DOES. An Amazon delivery driver was arrested after attempting to attack a woman near the front door of her home in Turlock before breaking into the home through a back window, authorities said. The attack happened on Friday around 11:31 a.m. in the 2300 block of Lander Avenue, the Turlock Police Department said in a release.Ryan Lee Crisp, 22, of Modesto, was immediately detained when officers arrived at the house, authorities said. Crisp had been physically restrained by the woman’s husband and his coworker men when officers arrived.Police say evidence showed Crisp did not have any packages to deliver at the address.He was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on attempted rape, burglary, and vandalism felony charges.He appeared in the Stanislaus County Superior Court Tuesday for his arraignment.KCRA 3 spoke with Maria Lopez, a mother of four young children, who said she was attacked by Crisp.The incident was captured on video on her husband’s coworker’s cellphone.Lopez said her husband and his coworker stopped by their home during their workday and saw an Amazon delivery driver outside their front door. “As soon as my husband unlocked the door, the guy attacked,” she said. Once Lopez pushed Crisp away, she said she locked herself in the bathroom and called 911 while her husband managed to get Crisp out of the home. Cellphone video shows Crisp jump a fence into the family’s backyard.Lopez’s husband and his coworker found Crisp inside the home after he broke a bedroom window.“Don’t open the door, even if it’s Amazon,” Lopez said. “I thought it was a safe company.” She said she is speaking out to warn other women about what happened to her.Turlock police said Crisp is employed by Soon Express, a third-party delivery company that is partnered with Amazon.In a statement to KCRA 3, an Amazon spokesperson said in part: “We’re deeply concerned about what we’ve learned.
