A man using a walker was struck and killed by a vehicle in Glen Burnie, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
On Saturday, at around 2:00 a.m. hours officers were sent to the area of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and MD Route 10 for a hit and run crash involving a pedestrian.
An individual in the area saw a person lying in the roadway and called 911.
The investigation showed that a pedestrian was using a walker and was traveling south on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard when he was struck by a vehicle.
The pedestrian was identified as 56-year-old Paul Haughee.
Haughee was wearing dark, non-reflective clothing at the time of the incident, according to police.
Police have not determined how long the victim was lying in the roadway before the witness of the incident called 911.
Anne Arundel County Fire Department paramedics pronounced Haughee dead at the scene.
He was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
Police say the vehicle fled the scene of the incident.
