PONZER, Hyde County —
Officials with N.C. Department of Agriculture are advising people that smoke from the Ferebee Road fire in Hyde County could waft through Highway 264 corridors between Rose Bay and Pantego.

Firefighters are still working on the fire and officials advise increases in smoke should be expected.
A combination of smoke and fog could lead to low visibility over the weekend.
Travelers in the area could need to allow for extra time or take alternate routes.
