Savannah, Ga. (WJCL)- High pressure-system will continue to control the weather for Sunday. There will be a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day and highs around the 91˚ average for most areas and mid-80s at the beach. It will be breezy and the coast with easterly winds 10-15 mph and a moderate rip current risk.
The start of the workweek is looking dry, but there will be an increase in chance for afternoon thunderstorms by Tuesday.
Much-needed rain is in the forecast. Models are showing a good chance for showers and thunderstorms for Wednesday and Thursday. Some models are showing that some areas could pick up over one inch of rain. We’re over 10” below average so, we could use some rain.
Tracking the Tropics:
A tropical wave is in the Central Tropical Atlantic. This is an area of showers and thunderstorms that is moving west near 20 mph.
There is a chance it could develop into a tropical depression next week.

Tuesday: Partly Sunny with Afternoon Storms Possible. High: 90.

Friday-Saturday: Mix of Sun and Clouds with Afternoon Storms. High: 90.
