Special Olympics New York State Summer Games held in Ithaca

ITHACA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV)- The largest New York State Summer games for the Special Olympics were held in Ithaca on Friday, June 24th and Saturday, June 25th and will continue on Sunday, June 26th.

The games bring at least 1,000 athletes and coaches from across the state to compete in eight sports.

Opening ceremonies were on Friday, and the games were on Saturday. They will close out the weekend with a dance party and closing ceremonies.
