There was a special tribute Saturday for the largest graduating class of Phase 4 Learning Center. The commencement was held at Baldwin High School stadium.During the ceremony, two graduating students who lost their lives to gun violence were honored.Marvin Matthews died on June 19 after being shot in Braddock. Matthew Steffy Ross was killed on April 17 on Pittsburgh’s North Side when gunfire erupted at a party at an Airbnb. Both families received their loved ones’ diplomas."Believe it or not, I have a lot of joy because I know that Matthew is up there smiling just as if he had walked across this stage here and got this diploma,” said Bonnie Mclain, a relative of Matthew Steffy Ross. “He was everyone's light.”Close to 400 students graduated Saturday afternoon.
