Months of investigation led law enforcement agencies in Lawrence County to make an arrest for drug trafficking Thursday.
Andrew McClain, 34, of Ironton was taken into custody after investigators found nearly three pounds of methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia, digital scales and an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a social media post from the Ironton Police Department.
The post said a search warrant was used at a residence located on 411 Walnut St. to uncover the largest amount of methamphetamine seized by law enforcement in county history.
The Lawrence County Drug and Major Crime Task Force reported receiving assistance from the Ironton Police Department, the Coal Grove Police Department, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and Lawrence County EMS.
