Jack Clark

A gentle, faithful, loving man of God, Jack Clark of Orem Utah, passed peacefully from this life on June 20th, 2022, surrounded by family and comforted by his beloved wife, Betty Mae (Kinder-Moore).

Jack was born in Provo on March 2nd, 1923, the 4th of 7 siblings, and graduated from Provo High School. When Pearl Harbor happened, he and his younger brother, Max, joined the Navy, and his older brother, Donald, joined the Army. All three served throughout WWII.

He met Norine Mecham in 1945 while home on leave. A week later they were married in the Salt Lake Temple. They were together for 62 years before Norine’s passing in 2007 from breast cancer.

Jack and Norine had 4 children: Steven Jack (Lauri), Kathleen Jean (Max) Henrie, Marian Annette (Lane) Adams, and Anna Marie Jones, all of whom are living. Following Norine’s passing, Jack married Betty Mae Kinder (Moore). They were married for 14 years.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Laura Rowe Bassett, his father, Glen Lewis Clark, a brother, Donald, a brother William, a sister, Margaret, and a brother Max.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Betty Mae Clark, a brother, Glen (Ester), a sister, Afton (Gary)War, his 4 children and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and Great-great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Monday evening, June 27th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Funeral home at 495 South State in Orem. Funeral Services will be held at the Cherry Hill Ward LDS Chapel at 135 E. 2000 S, Orem, UT. Viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., with funeral services commencing at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Provo City cemetery.
