Mercersburg man last heard from via text in March safe in Washington, Pa.

MERCERSBURG, Pa. — A borough man who had been reported missing in May has been located in the southwest corner of the state, according to the Mercersburg Police Department.

Jaime Jay Mickus Jr., 34, was found safe Friday in the Washington, Pa., area, police said Saturday in a news release.

Mickus had been reported missing by his mother in New York on May 10 after she hadn't heard from him since receiving a text message from him March 22, police said.

The release includes thanks to the individuals, businesses and agencies who provided information about Mickus.
