“The Force” has awakened in NEPA
The Electric City Trolley Museum on Cliff Street hosted a Star Wars Day celebration!
Riders of all age groups came out to enjoy a trolley ride with their favorite storm troopers and even Kylo Ren!
Those who dressed up today are all part of an international Star Wars reenactment group called Garrison Carida.
For the first two excursions of the day, the Trolley was sold out, with members of the group riding along with families. George Metz is part of the Garrison Cardia group and volunteer with the Trolley Museum. He has been riding the trolleys since he was a kid and is licensed to operate them as well!
“We are offering rides through the dark side, through a one-mile tunnel, on a heritage 1931 trolley car” says Metz.
Trolley excursions run Thursdays through Sundays from the museum at the Steamtown National Historic Site.
They now offer rides to and from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railrider games as well
