Two people are dead after an apparent murder-suicide at The Fountains Resort on International Drive on Saturday morning, Orange County deputies said.
Deputies were called to the resort just before 10 a.m. and found a man and woman had been shot. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names were not released Saturday. Investigators only said the woman was in her 50s and the man was in his 60s.
“At this time, it appears that the man shot the woman, then shot himself,” a statement from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said. “This is a domestic incident.”
It is unclear if the shooting happened inside a suite at the resort elsewhere on the property. No other information was released.
