Family of man fatally shot in road rage incident in February pleads for answers after murder goes unsolved

DETROIT (WWJ) - Family members of a 25-year-old Detroit man who died after being shot during an alleged road rage incident are turning to the public for help.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a reward up to $2,500 for tips that lead to an arrest in connection to the fatal February shooting of Brandon Punter.

Officials said Punter was shot on Friday, February 5 while driving his 2010 silver Jeep Patriot near 7 Mile Road and Santa Rosa on Detroit's west side.

According to authorities, Punter was an employee at Detroit Medical Center and was a studying at Wayne County Community College. He was an active member of St. Elizabeth Baptist Church and graduated from Hazel Park High School.

Punter was also a basketball coach for the Pal League; he was only 25 years old at the time of his death.
