The United States Geological Survey reported two earthquakes in western North Carolina Saturday morning

The United States Geological Survey reported two earthquakes in western North Carolina Saturday morning.The USGS says the first earthquake hit at 1:16 a.m. just north of Weaverville with a magnitude of 1.9. It had a depth of around 1.37 miles.The survey reported a second earthquake just northwest of Weaverville at 1:16 a.m. with a magnitude of 1.8 and and a depth of around .81 miles.
