SOMERVILLE (WGME) -- A Knox County man is dead after a car and motorcycle crash in Somerville Friday afternoon.
Police say 78-year-old Christopher Lascoutx of Washington, Maine was driving southbound on the Turner Ridge Road on a 2019 Triumph around 3 p.m. when he hit a Lucas Tree Service truck while it was mid-turn in the roadway.
Lascoutx died from his injuries at the scene.
23-year-old Brandon Higgins of Etna was driving the truck. Higgins and his passenger, Ryan Mack, 25 of Waterville, were not injured in the crash. They were both wearing seatbelts.
Lascoutx was wearing a helmet and a riding jacket.
Police say alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
The Turner Ridge Road was closed for nearly three hours during the investigation.
The accident is still under investigation.

Maine State Police Commercial Vehicle unit and Traffic Collision Investigators also responded and are assisting in the investigation.
