One dead after multi-vehicle accident in Hanover

HANOVER, Pa. (WHTM) — A woman has died after a multiple vehicle accident occurred in York County on Saturday, June 25.

According to a release from the York County Coroner, at 11:51 a.m., the coroner’s office was dispatched to an accident at Wilson Avenue and Eisenhower Drive in Hanover. A woman who was driving a Kia Soul reportedly crossed 4 lanes of traffic, striking two other vehicles before coming to a stop.

The report stated that the woman died at the scene and that she was not wearing her seatbelt during the accident. There were other people in the two other vehicles, however, the release did not state the condition of those individuals.

An autopsy will not be performed, however, a state toxicology report will be completed. The name of the woman who died will not be released until next of kin is notified.

The Hanover Police is still investigating the crash at this time.
