Frankfurt and Lyon to enter transfer battle with Everton, Leeds and Bournemouth for Blackburn star Ben Brereton Diaz

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT and Lyon are joining a number of Premier League clubs in the race to sign Blackburn striker Ben Brereton Diaz, according to reports.

Everton, Leeds and Bournemouth are also supposedly keen on him. In the past the likes of West Ham and Brighton have monitored the Chile international.

A SunSport exclusive also revealed that some big Spanish clubs were interested too such as Real Betis, Sevilla and Valencia.

Blackburn could want to sell this summer as the player enters the last year of his deal.

The club have already triggered the option in his contact to extend his stay at Ewood Park for one more year.

Brereton Diaz has caught the attention of so many clubs after a standout season in the Championship.

The 23-year-old netted 22 goals in 36 league matches for Rovers.

Last summer he also helped Chile reach the quarter-finals of the Copa America.

Eintracht Frankfurt would be able to offer him Champions League football after winning the Europa League.

As for Lyon, they had an underwhelming season in Ligue 1 so are therefore looking to heavily bolster their squad this summer.

They have already signed Alexandre Lacazette and are nearing a deal for Manchester United target Tyrell Malacia.
