In Loving Memory of Michael Ray Ferri

Michael Ray Ferri (57) was born in Kingsville, TX on August 18, 1964 to Frank and Sandy Ferri. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 21, 2022 in Wheat Ridge, CO. Mike graduated from Raton High School in 1982 and New Mexico State University in 1984 with a degree in Ag Mechanics. Mike went on to have a successful career as a diesel mechanic and owned his own shop in Parker, Colorado.

Mike will always be remembered for his smile, his infectious laugh and his kind and giving heart. Mike never knew a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. He was given great skills and talents. He could fix anything mechanical, and he was an excellent musician. He loved arrowhead hunting, fishing and music, but most of all he loved his family, especially his children.

Mike is preceded in death by his mother Sandy Ferri, paternal grandparents Sisto Ferri, Joe & Rachel Zolin, maternal grandparents Charlie and Mary McKelvie, Uncle Bob McKelvie and Aunt Cindy Piancino.

Mike is survived by his father Frank Ferri, sister Brenda Ferri both of Raton, Son Michael James Ferri and wife Yvonne of Las Cruces, NM, daughter Erika Faith Ferri and boyfriend Lonnie Romero of Colorado Springs, CO, grandchildren Isaac, James and Genevieve of Las Cruces. Niece Dorian McGinnis of Albuquerque, great nephew Nehemiah, great nieces Ersella and Zahara of Albuquerque, Great Aunt Ruth Elaine Begio of Raton, Uncle Tad Piancino of Raton, Aunt Karen McKelvie of Raton. First Cousins Bobbie Lynn McKelvie-Smith of Lake California, CA, David Piancino and Family of Raton, Richard Piancino and family of Wasilla, Alaska. Numerous distant cousins and many friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:00am at the Lighthouse Church, officiated by Pastor Monty McGowen, followed by a dinner at the Raton Elks Lodge. Food donations can be dropped off at the Raton Elks Lodge starting at 10:00am on Saturday, June 25th.

Pallbearers: Scott Edwards, Wesley Kendrick, David Pacheco, David Piancino, Richard Piancino, & Hector Verdin. Cremation has taken place by the Kramer Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Denver, CO.
