Shepherd home invasion results in a 46-year-old man’s arrest

The suspect, identified as Joseph Ryan Kadlek, had reportedly forced his way into the home and robbed the homeowner at gunpoint before fleeing the scene in the residents’ silver 2009 Buick Encore.

A 46-year-old man from Sumner was arrested, and will likely face multiple felony charges, after a home invasion in the Village of Shepherd.

On Friday, June 24 at around 7 p.m., officers with the Shepherd Police Department were dispatched to a residence on the 300 block of South Fourth Street in the Village of Shepherd.

The suspect, identified as Joseph Ryan Kadlek, had reportedly forced his way into the home and robbed the homeowner at gunpoint before fleeing the scene in the residents’ silver 2009 Buick Encore.

Kadlek was arrested somewhere out of the county before 5 a.m. on Saturday, June 25.

The Shepherd Police Department’s report will be submitted to the Isabella County Prosecutor’s Office for multiple felony charges.
