ROTHBURY, MI -- Fireworks filled the sky above Ranch Arena as Griz performed in front of a sea of people Friday evening.
Electric Forest music festival is in full swing after two jam-packed days of music, arts and entertainment. MLive captured dozens of photos from the concerts and more on day 2 of the four-day festival in rural West Michigan.
Grant Kwiecinski, who goes by the stage name Griz, is a Michigan native from Southfield. He was one of the performers that drew a large crowd Friday night at Electric Forest.
After the fireworks had cleared, Griz took to the mic to address the U.S. Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe vs Wade.
“It is really important that us together we get together,” Griz told the audience after at the end of his show. “We like-minded people talk about s**t that pisses us off. S**t that we want to change together as people. Because this collective of people together has some loud mother f***ing voices, I’ll tell you that much.”
Before Griz stole Friday’s spotlight, The String Cheese Incident took over the Ranch Arena Friday evening and will be back for the band’s can’t miss third appearance Saturday night. The band’s final concert at each Electric Forest is always full of big surprises.
