A man has died after a motorcycle accident late Friday night, according to Louisville Metro Police.It happened just after 10:30 p.m. near Middletown when LMPD Eighth Division officers responded to a report of a motorcycle crashing at the interchange of the Gene Snyder Freeway and Interstate 64.When police got there, they said they learned from witnesses that 56-year-old Patrick McCall had laid his bike down in an attempt to avoid hitting a car.McCall was taken to UofL Hospital where he later died due to blunt force injuries.The Gene Snyder was closed from Shelbyville Road to the I-64 westbound exit for a time.LMPD Traffic Unit is investigating.
