Mike was born on March 13,1951, to Scott and Doris (Hammond) Hunsaker in Oklahoma City, OK. He was raised in Ponca City, OK., where he attended Ponca City High School, graduating in 1969 and then going on to graduate from Northern Oklahoma College. While attending college, he was also the assistant golf pro at the Ponca City Country Club, where he also gave golf lessons. Mike then worked as a lab technician for Carbon Black in Ponca City until he retired. After retiring, he worked for a short time in the golf shop at the Ponca City Country Cub, as he did when he was young.

Mike was a very talented and avid golfer. He grew up playing golf and was a member of the golf team in school, and played into adulthood. He was a collector of motorcycles and loved riding them every chance he got. Later in life, he loved going to casinos to gamble on the slots and to be around people, as he never met a stranger. He especially loved talking politics with people any chance he could get. One of his biggest joys in life was hanging out with his best buddy, his dog Tucker Brown, a stray that adopted Mike. He took him everywhere he went.

Mike was also fortunate to be the recipient of a lifesaving, double lung transplant in 2011, which changed his life.

He is survived by his daughter Kelly Hunsaker of Wichita, KS., son Andy Hunsaker of Ponca City, OK., brother Scott Hunsaker of Kaw City, OK. and grandchildren, Kinley Hunsaker and Abby Hunsaker.

He is preceded in death by his father Scott Wyke Hunsaker, mother Doris Hammond Hunsaker, and his beloved dog Tucker Brown.
