THAT WAS BENNY ALWAYS. ALWAYS SHARING THEIR FAVORITE MEMORIES ON THE VERY COURT WHERE VINCENT MADE HIS MARK ON THE FLOOR OF VINNY WAS IF YOU TALK TO ANYBODY HE WAS A WARRIOR FROM REGIONAL PLAYER OF THE YEAR TO MR. BASKETBALL OF KENTUCKY FINALISTS VINCENT HAD A LONG LIST OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS. HE GRADUATED PRP HIGH IN 2006, BUT 16 YEARS LATER HIS LIFE ENDED UNEXPECTEDLY. IT’S JUST SENSELESS HIS CHILDHOOD FRIEND. ROBERT SAYS VINCENT WAS ON HIS WAY TO WORK ON JUNE 23RD WHEN HE WAS SHOT AND KILLED NEAR BUELL. A LITTLE LIFESTYLE WHERE WE WERE ANTICIPATING ANYTHING LIKE THAT HAPPEN UNTIL THE MAN ACCUSED OF SHOOTING HIM 21 YEAR OLD CHARVANTE REED NOW FACING A MURDER CHARGE WHILE VINCENT’S FAMILY AND FRIENDS WAIT FOR ANSWERS THE LESLIE AND RYAN PRAY THEIR FOUNDATION IS RAISING MONEY FOR HIS SIX YEAR OLD SON V3 THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN VINNY’S LIFE. WAS V3 WITHOUT A DOUBT AND SO WE WANTED TO DO SOMETHING. WE HAVE A LONG-TERM GOAL TO MAKE SURE THAT HIS COLLEGE IS FULLY FUNDED ALREADY RAISING MORE THAN $10,000. SO LITTLE VINNY CAN PURSUE AN EDUCATION IN HIS DAD’S HONOR. I JUST HOPE PEOPLE REMEMBER HOW GREAT VINCE IT WAS. A former PRP High School basketball star is dead after getting shot near Buechel on June 23, according to Louisville Metro Police.Police say 34-year-old Vincent Crutcher was shot around 4:30 a.m. in the 4000 block of Heatherview Road near Breckinridge Lane.Crutcher was a standout on the PRP High team, graduating in 2006. He was even a finalist for 'Mr. Basketball in Kentucky.'Police say the man charged with shooting him, 21-year-old Charvontae Reed, was arrested on the night of the incident while hiding on the porch of a nearby home.Police found Crutcher at the scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and he was taken to UofL Hospital where he died late Friday night, after Reed had already been arraigned on Friday morning. Reed pleaded not guilty to assault and burglary charges at the time of his arraignment, but police say LMPD Homicide was already investigating the shooting due to the severe nature of Crutcher's wounds.Reed appeared in court again on July 5, and is now facing a murder charge. His bond was set at $150,000.The Lesley & Rhyan Prather Foundation has set up a scholarship for Crutcher's 6-year-old son, Vincent III. A former PRP High School basketball star is dead after getting shot near Buechel on June 23, according to Louisville Metro Police.
