Three-Star WR Jamauri Knox Recaps "Interesting" Virginia Tech Visit

Jamauri Knox June 2022 VT Visit

Ahead of their big official visit weekend, Virginia Tech hosted several talented recruits on Thursday including 2024 three-star WR Jamauri Knox out of 757 power Oscar Smith.

His visit went well as he shared with us.

"My visit at VT was interesting today, I felt like I got closer with the coaches and familiar with the staff," Knox said.

So what did Knox do during his visit to Blacksburg?

"We took a tour of the facility, photoshoot, learned about NIL’s, had a few more learning lessons about other things and went out to eat," Knox said.

I'm guessing the NIL portion of Knox's comment caught your attention as it did mine with Knox expanding on what he learned during time spent discussing NIL.

"I’ve learned what to do when it comes to branding yourself and how to put yourself out there more," Knox said.

Beyond those things, Knox spent plenty of time with Virginia Tech's coaches including WRs coach Fontel Mines with Knox having this to say about how his time and conversation went with Mines.

"It was good, he wants his recruits and guys to feel him when he speaks," Knox said.

He also spent time with Director of High School Relations and former elite 757 HS coach Glenwood Ferebee with Knox having this to add about his time with Ferebee.

"That’s my family so conversations with him are always good," Knox said.

So how did this visit impact his recruitment and where Virginia Tech stands in it?

"I think it impacted my recruitment in a good way showing coaches have interest in me. VT is an outstanding school and I can see the potential in them," Knox said.

As Virginia Tech's 2024 WR board continues to form, 757 standout Jamauri Knox is going to be a name to watch in the next recruiting cycle.
