Prior to Pittsburgh arriving in Tampa Bay, the New York Yankees were in town taking two of three from the Rays.

Jameson Taillon is currently pitching for the Yankees and he left a little gift for his former Pirates manager at Tropicana Field.

Derek Shelton told reporters that Taillon left behind a bottle of Blanton’s Bourbon and Eagle Rare Bourbon.

“Pretty good way to start the trip for me,” Shelton said.

The Pirates are playing in Tampa this weekend then head to Washington before coming home to PNC Park.

Shelton will be able to sit back and relax between games with a pair of very nice bottles of brown liquor.

Cheers.

Taillon did not pitch against the Rays in his trip to the Trop, but he does hold one of the best records among MLB pitchers at 8-1.
