Challenges remain for parents trying to find baby formula after a nationwide shortage was spurred by ongoing supply chain issues and the closure of Abbott’s baby formula plant in Michigan.

Melissa Zula with the Pella Community Food Shelf says they’ve been working hard to acquire supplies for those most vulnerable and who may be unable to pay the higher price to acquire needed formula.

The Pella Community Food Shelf offers a variety of baby products as well as their full selection of food on Tuesday mornings and evenings at The Well on Oskaloosa Street in Pella.
