NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A passenger was shot aboard a Greyhound bus when it pulled into the Nashville terminal on Rep. John Lewis Way early Saturday.

Metro Nashville Police officers received the shooting call around 12:05 a.m.

Witnesses reported that the shot was fired after the bus stopped, while the driver was making announcements. No witnesses heard any arguing prior to the gunshot.

The gunman then yelled for people to get out of the way as he ran down the aisle and off the bus toward Division Street.

A single adult male was killed during the shooting. He has since been identified as Jami Jamar Bell, 23, of Nashville. According to his bus ticket, he boarded in Montgomery, Alabama.

The cause of the shooting is unknown at this time.
