Summer returns this weekend with high temperatures back around the 90 degree mark today and lower 90s tomorrow.
While the heat is here, humidity levels won’t be oppressive though you’ll certainly notice it with dew points in the lower 60s.
Conditions will be hot for the Capital Barbecue Festival on Pennsylvania Ave. or the Folklife Festival which continues on the National Mall.
Speaking of events, this evening is looking great for the Astronomy Festival with mainly clear skies and comfortable evening temperatures. It may be a warm start at Audi Field for DC United but temperatures should cool into the evening.
Along with the heat Sunday, a few isolated storms are possible in the Shenandoah Valley and Mountains to the west. Keep that in mind if you have a hike or are planning to camp Sunday night.
A cold front will move into the area Monday brining the chance for additional showers and thunderstorms. StormWatch7 is on Possible Alert Monday with the threat for heavy rainfall. This system will exit Monday evening and skies should clear out into Tuesday.
