Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them?

I joined Select Fastpitch in the fall of 2021 and I chose Select because of the high-quality and experienced coaches, the high level of competition they play and the awesome athletes on the team. My goal is to play college softball at the highest level I can and I believe Select has the right combination to help me continue to improve and meet my goal. Plus, my team is fun!

What do you bring to the team?

That is a great question that is hard to answer because this is a team sport and everyone plays a critical role in the success of any team. If I had to give an answer, I would say I bring a strong work ethic to the team and I am dedicated to pushing myself and indirectly my teammates to be better.

What area are you focusing on/trying to improve this summer?

I always focus on improving every aspect of my game, but this summer, as I head into my junior year, my primary focus is on having fun playing the game. I love (being) with my amazing teammates and trying to enjoy every step of the recruiting process.

Can you tell us about the Top Club Nationals and what you hope to accomplish at the event?

I am excited about the Top Club Nationals and, of course, we are hoping to win it all and especially get to play on Oklahoma’s home field, but I also hope that we will play some extremely tough competition and see great pitching, which will push me mentally and physically to continue to prepare to be successful at the next level.

What are you looking for in a future university?

I’m looking for a coaching staff that will see my drive and continue to push me to be the best athlete and person I can be. I am looking for a program that competes at the highest level, so I can contribute to winning a national title (multiple would be fine too). And I am looking for a University that has many degree options as I am still undecided on what I want to do for a career.

Who is your sports hero and why?

I don’t have “one” sports hero, but I have been inspired by the many women, who have broken down barriers to give me amazing opportunities. I am also in awe of athletes that push past records that no one expected to be broken, like Lauren Chamberlain and then Jocelyn Alo.

Do you have a secret talent/skill?

I don’t really have a secret talent, but it would be great if I did.

What’s your most memorable softball story?

My most memorable softball moment was winning a state championship as a freshman. The final moments of the game are not something I will forget for a very long time. The final out was a short flyball hit just behind second base that I ran over from shortstop to catch. As soon as I caught the ball, my entire team came running from all over to celebrate. It was an amazing finish to a great year with a great team.
