Wright, Bonnie

Bonnie Wright, 81, of Clovis, passed away on June 20, 2022 at home.
Bonnie was born in Tucson, AZ to Joe M. and Celia King on September 21, 1940. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy for Girls in Tucson and attended the University of Arizona where she was a member of the Rodeo Team and while attending, won the U of A All-Around Rodeo Champion in 1961. On October 16, 1965 Bonnie married the love of her life, John O. Wright in Tucson. S
he was a Realtor for over 50 years in Clovis, during which time she opened the first Re/Max Real Estate office in the state of New Mexico. She was involved in many clubs and civic organizations through the years, which began with becoming a charter member of the Girl’s Rodeo Association, Realtors Association of New Mexico and served as director in 1985, Clovis Board of Realtors and served as president from 2001-2002, Clovis Realtor of the year in 2002, charter member of Clovis High Plains Rotary Club and served as president from 2011-2012, Charter member of the Casa Esperanza Golf Tournament Fundraiser for the Clovis/Portales Association of Realtors, won multiple Top Salesmen awards as a Re/Max salesman, and served in many other state and local level organizations. She loved spending time with her family, playing golf, traveling with John, and winning on every slot machine she played.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Joe M. and Celia King and her sisters Patricia King and Margarite Wright.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, John O. Wright; daughter Terri Damron (Danny); son Joe Wright (DeeDee) all of Clovis; grandchildren, Baileigh Glover (Kole) of Bushland,TX, Seth Damron of Lubbock, TX, Morgan Kittrell (Trevor) and Jacob Wright all of Clovis; great-grandchildren, Kash and Kal Glover, Aiden, Brody, and Jonah Kittrell and Mackinzee Kilgore; sisters, Christine Oliver (Jim) of Green Valley, AZ and Vivian King (Ray) of Albuquerque, NM.
A Rosary will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, July 15 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clovis, a memorial mass will be held directly following the Rosary at 9:30.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Casa Esperanza, New Mexico’s House of Hope.
