The USFL has made it to the postseason, something that no recent spring league has been able to do in recent years. Now, the playoffs will kick off with a battle between two North Division foes.
The New Jersey Generals will be taking on the Philadelphia Stars in a battle of two of the USFL's most productive offenses.
The Generals enter Saturday's contest on a nine-game winning streak that includes two victories over Philadelphia. New Jersey has a balanced roster with no glaring weaknesses. The Generals' offense is well-rounded and leans on its running game fearing Darius Victor, Trey Williams and quarterback De'Andre Johnson.

New Jersey is one of the only USFL teams that has successfully used a two-quarterback system this season, as Johnson has been used as more of a run-first option while Luis Perez is the more efficient passer. He is on a bit of a hot streak and threw three touchdown passes in the Generals' Week 10 win over the Stars.
Speaking of Philadelphia, the Stars have the USFL's highest-scoring offense at 26.2 points per game. Case Cookus has done well replacing an injured Bryan Scott at quarterback and has established himself as one of the USFL's most accurate passers. However, the Stars' defense isn't nearly as strong as the Generals', as they rank dead last in points per game allowed at 24.3.

The first USFL playoff game between the Generals and Stars will be broadcast on Fox. Play-by-play announcer Curt Menefee and analyst Joel Klatt have served as Fox's No. 1 broadcast team during the 2022 USFL season, and they are expected to be on the call for this week's game, too.
