60-year-old woman found with multiple stab wounds, Fresno Police investigating stabbing

FRESNO, Calif. — Fresno Police are investigating a stabbing that took place around 9 p.m. at an apartment complex on Friday near Divisadero and College in Downtown Fresno.

It says it received a physical disturbance call. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman in her 60’s who was stabbed multiple times.

Police say it found the woman in a parking lot in serious condition. She was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

Another woman in her 30's was detained. At this time, police can not confirm her connection to the stabbing.

It still is early on in the investigation but they say an argument escalated before the stabbing. At this time, the relationship between the two is unknown the victim and the person detained is unknown.

Police say they did find a weapon but they're not sure if it was the weapon used during the stabbing.
