Brigade improve to 12-2

Junction City got strong pitching from Brady Stuewe, JJ Tylicki and Boston Dowd enroute to a 3-1 victory over the Topeka Farmers at Rathert Field Saturday night.

Stuewe got the start and went up five innings on the mound, giving up one run. Tylicki, who just recently arrived in Junction City from Cowley County Community College pitched one inning and Dowd three the final three innings.

In the seventh inning the Brigade broke open a 1-1 ballgame when they loaded the bases and Edward Scott singled to drive in two runs to make the score 3-1. Junction City will host the Topeka Farmers again at 7 p.m. Saturday at Rathert Field.
