An Endangered Person Advisory for a 16-year-old Illinois girl and her baby boy was canceled on Friday after the two turned up at a Kentucky police department with their alleged abductor.
The suspect, Michael Walton, of Indiana, was taken into custody and is now charged with one count of child abduction.
Around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, "The two Harvard youths and the individual that accompanied them turned themselves in to the Cynthiana, Kentucky Police Department unharmed," the Harvard Police Department said in a news release.
The advisory was issued late Thursday night for Amia Stith her five-month-old son Maverick after they were seen being picked up Wednesday afternoon by Walton near the Harvard Diggins Library in Harvard, Ill.
Walton is awaiting is extradition.
