STURGIS, Mich. — Businesses in Sturgis are rallying around two teens seriously hurt after a four-car crash.
Fekile Lind, 16, suffered head trauma and Jillian Romanyk, 17, is paralyzed from the waist down.
Romanyk's mom works at Panache the Spalon in downtown Sturgis. The business is expected to sell T-shirts Friday night to raise money for the teens.
Mike's Pizza and Sub is also expected to sell t-shirts and raise money with a tip jar.
In addition, Brewhouse BBQ is collecting tips for the teens.
"Well, the kids are friends with them at school. They have classes with them. You know, we just want to raise as much as possible. As a parent, I couldn't imagine, so any little bit helps," said Brewhouse BBQ owner Ryan Miller.
The crash happened Friday, June 17, in Burr Oak Township.
Friends and family held a vigil on Sunday, June 19, where they shared stories and prayers and signed posters for them.
