MEMPHIS, Tenn.– Police are looking for the shooters who gunned down two men inside a Hickory Hill gas station Thursday night.

The violent attack was caught on camera at the Citgo in the 5900 block of Knight Arnold Road.

Investigators said the suspects got out of a vehicle, entered the gas station, and shot the victims.

One victim died at the scene. The other victim was later pronounced dead at Regional One.

Kallow Kodi was behind the bullet-proof glass in the counter area when the gunfire started. When it stopped, he walked out of the store, saw the victims, and called police.

“By the door, he died at the scene and the other one was taken to the hospital and he was still breathing,” Kodi said. “and he died in the hospital.”

In the store’s surveillance footage, you can see several people trying to comfort and help the victim who was still alive. Kodi said the men who were killed were regulars he had gotten to know.

“And they were too young. One was 19 and the other was 18,” he said. “And it’s just very sad for them to be gone too soon like that.”

Kodi said the gun violence in Memphis has gotten out of control and something needs to change.

“Everybody has a gun, everybody is carrying a gun and that’s real dangerous for the community,” he said.

Police said the suspects fled the scene in a silver Cadillac SRX bearing TN tag 4TG162.
