A recent poll found 37% of Americans say that abortion should be illegal in all or most circumstances.
Dee Basso tells CBS4 News that she cannot image life without her family.
"I have two beautiful grandchildren because of their choices," Basso said.
She says both of her daughters pregnancies were unplanned.
"Both of my daughters are single moms because they chose life," she said.
Basso says she stands on her beliefs and is opposed to abortions because of her faith.
"When my tax dollars are funding a lot of these clinics and what not, then taxpayers should have a say on where their money goes," she said.
Basso says that she believes states should decide abortion laws.
"That is why we elect governors, because the governor works for the people of the state," Basso stated.
"The bible tells us in Psalm 1:39 verse 13," Minister at Gainesville Church of Christ, Felton Woods said. "That scripture is letting us know that God is there at the very conception in the progress of that child’s development."
He says his option does not matter on this subject and spoke to CBS4 News about the Christian perspective.
"I can only speak about on a Christian basis," he said.
Woods says that it's God's word that speaks for those who believe.
"Life has a purpose and we don't know what God has in store for each person," Woods said.
He stressed alternatives are key and calls a baby's life is innocent.
"In Exodus and Deuteronomy, the Bible tells us thou shalt not murder," he said.
As for Basso, she says she will continue to love on her family.
"Life was the only option for us," she said.
