The "Material Girl" hitmaker has remained sought after until now. Despite her 1984 track storming social media again after its resurgence in the video-sharing platform TikTok, the song gets a new flair, courtesy of Saucy Santana.
The rapper gained commercial success after his track of the same name also trended on TikTok, almost at the same time as Madonna did.

Contrary to others' beliefs, Saucy Santana's "Material Girl" was far from Madonna's classic hit. The uptempo rap piece essentially put Saucy Sanatana out there.
Although the two share the same title, their sound, down to the lyrics, are far from similar.
However, in the recent NYC Pride performance, the queer icon has pulled out a huge surprise for the crowd.
Saucy Santana and Madonna performed an unanticipated mashup between their two songs.

The surprise performance from Saucy Santana was not the only thing that rocked the headlines last night. After recreating her infamous kiss with Britney Spears on the 2003 VMAs at the latter's wedding reception recently, Madonna did it again on the NYC Pride show 2022.
The music icon sealed a huge kiss on rapper Tokisha's lips last night too. After the big kiss, the two proceeded to dance in sexually explicit, choreographed dance moves - prompting a jaw-dropping response from the crowd.
The original version of the kiss was more controversial, as it happened in 2003 in front of live national television. At the time, Madonna planted a kiss on Christina Aguilera (off-cam) and Britney Spears.
The act angered conservatives, especially with the display of same-sex public display of affection at the time.
