Pilot makes safe landing after plane hits power lines in SW Kan.

WALLACE COUNTY—Some 700 Midwest Energy customers lost power Friday after what the company called a " weird outage" in Wallace County, according to a social media report.

A sprayer plane clipped a high-voltage transmission line, bringing those wires down onto Midwest Energy wires.

The pilot was able to make a safe landing.

Crews are were able to restore power to Sharon Springs and the surrounding area on one of the hottest days of the year by approximately 1:30p.m. central daylight time, according to Midwest Energy.
