Video: Hot, somewhat humid weekend ahead
Hello everyone. Meteorologist mike had it here in the storm watch nine. What the center focus on this first weekend of summer, right on cue, summer heat. Now we'll turn *** little bit sticky for the weekend. We're not talking about oppressive levels of humidity. Clearly the focus on the rising temperatures each day. And speaking of each day, if you're traveling near the coastline, you like it *** little bit cooler. You will be in luck because that wind will be onshore. So seventies at the beaches, both saturday and sunday, but you move inland just *** couple of miles and you're right back into the eighties showers. *** couple of thunderstorms, *** possibility on monday, the severity of those storms will be dictated by the timing of the front that moves through. So if the cold front comes through monday, say late morning and early afternoon, as is expected right now, the storms would be non severe if that front sits off to our west for *** few more hours into monday afternoon and then moves through, we could squeeze out *** bit of partial sun and then some of those storms could be on the strong side. So stay tuned to the updates through the course of the weekend for the timing of that front very little if any precipitation through the course of the weekend, *** slight shot of *** pop up shower tomorrow, otherwise dry and all the focus on the summer heat that moves on in. So tonight, refreshingly cool north and nice and cool to mild south with fair skies and *** bit of valley fog by early morning tomorrow sunshine, slight chance of *** pop up afternoon shower near 80 at the coast and then temperatures will actually fall off *** little bit with *** sea breeze mid eighties north and upper eighties, lower nineties south and then even higher temperatures on sunday. So *** place to escape that heat at the beaches Keep in mind *** little bit of *** rough surf fight at 3- five ft. Ocean temperature averaging this weekend in the low sixties, with the lake temperature in the mid sixties, very high UV index each day, apply that sunscreen early and often we've got the strongest sun angle, of course, during the entire year from now, right into the early part of july high tide at Hampton Harbor 9 48 in the morning, and then the water will run out 23, 12 in the afternoon. On sunday, higher temperatures seventies coast, but eighties and nineties elsewhere in the state, scattered showers and thunderstorms likely on monday and then it turns much less humid, very pleasant Tuesday into Wednesday before it heats up again by the end of next week

The first weekend of summer will feel the part as temps soar (away from the coast) each afternoon. The next chance of statewide showers/storms will come on Monday ahead of a cooler/drier Tuesday.Fair skies for tonight with some patchy fog possible very late. Lows in the 50s for many (very low 60s in Manchester).Saturday will be much warmer (85-91, but cooler -- 77 -- at the coast) and a bit humid, with sun and some clouds. There is a very slight chance of a spot pm shower.Sunday will be hazy, hot, and humid with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s for many, except upper 70s at the coast.A cold front will move through on Monday with clouds and showers along with scattered thunderstorms. The severity of those storms will be determined by the exact timing of that front. An earlier arrival means little chance of severe weather while a mid to late afternoon arrival could result in some strong storms. Stay tuned to updates this weekend!Behind that front, a bright and pleasantly cooler and less humid Tuesday follows.
