STARKVILLE — Mississippi State football coach Mike Leach says his Air Raid offense can never have too many wide receivers. He now has a piece with which to continue building depth at the position with his 2023 class.

Norcross High School (Georgia) three-star Nakai Poole committed to Mississippi State via social media Friday. He recorded 40 catches for 703 yards and 11 touchdowns last season, according to 247Sports

He is the No. 105 receiver in his class and No. 73 recruit out of Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite. Poole received 25 offers, including Auburn, LSU and Ole Miss.

Poole is the fourth offensive commitment for the Bulldogs and the eighth overall. Every recruit in the 2023 class is a three-star with the exception of Clarksdale's Kelley Jones, who doesn't have a 247Sports rating.

Poole joins running backs Ty Jones and Seth Davis and offensive tackle Malik Ellis as offensive commits. Defensively, Mississippi State has commitments from defensive backs Dante Kelly, Kelley Jones and Jaylen Aborom along with edge Joseph Head
