COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Ahead of the 100th race, the Pikes Peak Hill Climb Fan Fest returned to Downtown Colorado Springs. This is the first time in two years the fest has happened.

Organizers told KRDO ahead of the event they were expecting roughly 30,000 people to together in the heart of Downtown Colorado Springs to experience the 10-block street party.

The Fan Fest is one of the city's largest and most popular street festivals.

"They need to know it is Colorado Springs's biggest party of the year and the fact that it has been away for a couple years makes it more exciting," said Bob Boder with the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. "We've got motorcycle jumping team, the fast 15 cars that just finished qualifying  up in the  mountain, tons of vendors, food, a beer garden, and just tons going on."

The Fan Fest begins at 5 p.m. and lasts until 9 p.m. along Tejon Street. Admission to the event is free.

Below is a list of road closures in effect for Friday, June 24, between 1:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
