Loaded handgun found at Lincoln apartment complex
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln resident found a loaded handgun lying on the ground at the apartment complex near North 14th Street and Hilltop Road.
The resident turned the gun into the Bridgeport apartment office and called the Lincoln Police Department.
When officers arrived, they found that the 9 mm gun was loaded.
Officers are currently investigating who the owner of the gun is and how it ended up on the grounds of the complex.
Lincoln Police say that it’s important to immediately contact the police if you ever find an unsecured firearm.
Police ask that you do not touch the firearm so they can safely collect and remove it from the area.
