Argument leads to fatal shooting in north Monroe, suspect arrested
MONROE, La. (KNOE) - A suspect is in custody after a fatal shooting in north Monroe on Friday, June 24, 2022.
According to the Monroe Police Department, the shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 4200 block of Loop Road. That’s the location of Belle Bayou Apartments.
MPD said officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a local hospital. One was treated for non-life-threatening wounds. The other did not survive.
Detectives with the Monroe Police Department have arrested Nicholas Webb in connection with this shooting. Webb is said to have shot the two victims during an argument that ensued in the parking lot.
Webb has been arrested on one count of second-degree murder and one count of attempted second-degree murder.
