The tournament will be held at The Pit in November to kick off the college basketball season.

The University of New Mexico Lobos men's basketball team will host its own season tournament this season. The tournament will be called the Lobo Classic and its UNM's first time hosting a tournament in 15 years, according to its director of communications. The tournament will take place Nov. 25-27. Over the three days, each team will play each other in a round-robin format. The schedule will be announced later in the off-season. The tournament will feature three other teams: Jacksonville State, North Dakota State and Northern Colorado. All three teams finished above 20 wins last season.Jacksonville State made noise last season, earning their second-ever trip to the NCAA tournament before losing to the two-seeded Auburn Tigers by 19 points. The Lobos hold a perfect 4-0 record against Northern Colorado all-time but have yet to face North Dakota State or Jacksonville State. The Lobos finished last season at 13-19.
