COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A 21-year-old man has been identified as the motorcycle rider killed in crash in north Colorado Springs late last month.

Police say Keyon Amos died after he was thrown from his motorcycle on Woodmen near Campus on the afternoon of June 24.

“Responding officers arrived on scene and found that the motorcycle was traveling east on East Woodman Road and the truck was traveling west making a left turn to travel south on Campus Drive. As the truck started to turn the driver of the motorcycle tried to brake to avoid contact. In doing so the driver of the motorcycle was ejected from the motorcycle,” police said in a news release Tuesday.

Amos died at the scene.

Police say this is the 13th fatal crash in Colorado Springs this year and the 23rd fatal crash overall in the city.
